Assessment of performance of the schemes including actual delivery of drinking water supply services, quality of water being supplied and assess people’s participation on the supply of water including the level of peoples’ satisfaction of the Piped Water Supply Schemes for Bankura district covering 14 blocks in 1st phase funded under Backward Region Grant Fund (BRGF) under Bankura Division, PHE Dte, Govt. of West Bengal)
Objectives:The objective was to make an assessment of the performance of the drinking water supply schemes in 14 blocks of Bankura district. The following tasks were performed:
• Measured the performance on various parameters of the actual water supply and how that compares with the scheme design
• Level of satisfaction of the consumers and the rasons thereof to know how the gap can be bridged
• Submitting a report to PHED and making a presentation before the senior officers of the department
