Assessment of Sangha Facilitation Centres in West Bengal
Objectives:The objectives of this assessment are to: 1. Collect evidence on how the process of WLL implementation by the Sangha acts as a foundation for establishing the Sangha-run SFCs. 2. Assess the extent to which rural women in the SFC catchment are aware of the SFC services, how they come to know about this and their interest in utilizing SFC services on land recordation. 3. ldentify the facilitating factors and challenges encountered by Sangha centres, including capacity of service providers, challenges faced by them at household level in sustaining the initiative. 4. Prepare a list of different SFC services received by the rural community with identified points of satisfaction and suggested improvement areas. 5. ldentify specific areas to focus on for improving SFC functionalities including generating community demand within rural poor for sustaining the SFCs. This would help better understand why enough of service applications are NOT received by the SFCS. 6. Know and identify possible ways to spread the messages on SFC functionalities and generating community demand within rural poor for sustaining the SFCs. 7. Sustainability of this initiative, and reguirement of handholding support
