Objectives:

(i) To evaluate the types of cases which come to the Gram Katchahry for trial,

(ii) To assess the performance of the system in terms of efficiency, cost, access and quality and the system of monitoring and supervision,

(iii) To understand the system of disposal and documentation of the cases, the human resources available with the Gram Katchahries and their capacities,

(iv) To understand the problems faced by citizens who approach Gram Katchahry for assistance, their level of satisfaction.

(v) To recommend steps for systemic improvement including building capacity.

Support to Institutional Strengthening of GPs, Quality Local Level Planning and Developing GP Level Data & Monitoring Mechanism for evidence based and inclusive local governance in Karauli district of Rajasthan

Objectives:

It is envisaged that the goal will be achieved through fulfilment of the following objectives. Some of these objectives will also spread over to the Phase-2 of the planned initiative:

(a) To strengthen the Project GPs with well-designed hybrid models of face-to-face and online Capability Building & Training (CB&T) interventions.

(b) To provide handholding support to the GPs through dedicated teams in transforming the existing systems into desirable ones for efficient, effective and equitable delivery of essential services, especially for women, children and most marginalised communities, in alignment with the SDGs.

(c) To develop some easy tools (workbooks) which will be possible to follow by the facilitating team in preparing GPDP at their expected level of capacity, which will also be developed as a part of the project.

(d) To develop a GP database and a web-enabled MIS to assist planning and monitoring progress through GPDP.

(e) To develop the Project GPs as viable and replicable models for other GPs in the District and the State to follow.

Support for Implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in Aurangabad District in Maharashtra

Objectives:

SIGMA Foundation was selected as an Independent Support Agency (ISA) for implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. The following support were provided:

• Making the community aware of JJM and roles and responsibilities of the community

• People were sensitized on need for community ownership in O&M and helped to raise 10% of the project cost as voluntary contrinution

• The community was made aware of issues of water security & water quality

• Demonstrated issues of water quality by conducting tests using FIeld Test Kits
